Open call for interns —
Are you passionate about nature-based design and interdisciplinary collaboration?

Are you passionate about nature, cities, and interdisciplinary collaboration? Join SLA’s nature-based design studio as an intern and help design the cities of the future — where people and nature thrive together.
At SLA, interns are an integral part of our interdisciplinary team of biologists, anthropologists, geographers, lighting designers, landscape architects, and more. We work closely with SLA’s urban designers and architects on projects that span from urban spaces to strategic city planning. Our shared ambition is to design better conditions for all life — for people, animals, plants, and the ecosystems we’re part of.
As an intern at SLA, you’ll actively contribute to our nature-based and human-centered projects, gaining hands-on experience from real-world assignments in Denmark and abroad. You’ll become part of a collaborative and ambitious studio culture — where your knowledge and curiosity are valued.
We’re looking for students who are eager to contribute with their academic background and interests. Ideally, you are studying biology, nature management, environmental economics, forestry engineering, urban landscape engineering, lighting design, or similar fields, and you’re excited by the opportunity to work across disciplines, grounded in natural sciences.
We offer a dynamic and varied workday in an informal, creative environment. At SLA, we believe in open dialogue, shared learning, and taking initiative. You’ll be able to shape your own internship experience and work alongside skilled and dedicated colleagues with diverse expertise.
Who we’re looking for
— You have a bachelor’s degree, and you are passionate about creating more nature and better conditions for all life.
— You thrive in interdisciplinary settings and can translate knowledge into actionable, solution-oriented insights that are relevant across disciplines
— You can communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and orally, in English
— You’re proactive, open-minded, curious, and driven by a strong green heart
