SISTER Plot C secures planning permission

We are excited to share that our transformation of SISTER – Manchester’s new £1.7bn innovation district – has secured planning permission for PLOT C, the next major phase of the development.

Breathing new life into the site’s historical assets such as the Butterfly Stairs and the grade two-listed Hollaway Wall, SISTER PLOT C aims to foster a collaborative public realm that builds on Manchester’s rich history of industry and innovation:

From the landmark heart SISTER SQUARE – Manchester’s large new civic square designed to host outdoor events and a gathering place for the local community – via the iconic ALTRINCHAM ST railway viaduct arches, to the industrial heritage of MILL LANE and the HOLLOWAY PLACE gateway.

SISTER is Manchester’s new £1.7bn innovation district, fostering a collaborative public realm that builds on Manchester’s rich history of industry and innovation.

Sister is delivered together with our client, a joint venture between The University of Manchester and Bruntwood SciTech, and our great friends and collaborators Allies and Morrison with Layer.studio, Stanhope PLC, Deloitte, Buro Happold, Civic, Heritage Architecture, and Arcadis.
