Our New Silvertown Jetty gets green lights – creating a new informal destination spot for The Royal Docks and a new gateway into Silvertown.
The New Silvertown Jetty literally embraces The Royal Dock’s industrial and cultural history.
By retaining as much of the existing jetty’s industrial heritage as possible – its ruderal vegetation, rail tracks, and materials – while adding new, atmospheric lighting and a variety of new city nature, the New Silvertown Jetty will be an informal place for cultural events and a relaxing spot for locals – honouring the area’s legacy while empowering a new way of experiencing water in Silvertown.

Alongside the new Royal Victoria Dock pedestrian and cycling bridge, designed by Moxon Architects, the jetty will become a new gateway into Silvertown, directly linked to London’s ExCel Centre and Custom House Station.
The project is done for our great client Lendlease, together with Greater London Authority, Homes England, and The Guinness Partnership.

SLA exhibits New Nordic City Nature at Oslo National Museum
Today, the exhibition “New Nordic – Cuisine, Aesthetics and Place” opens at the National Museum in Oslo. SLA and Dyvik Kahlen have made a specially designed pavilion for the museum square – that takes visitors from the Michelin kitchen out into the urban realm. Its roof and landscape are planted with native, edible species from Oslo’s shores and forests, and offers a taste of New Nordic City Nature.
