New book: Critique of the Aesthetic Sense of Nature

We are pleased to present ‘Critique of the Aesthetic Sense of Nature’ – the new book by SLA founding partner Stig L. Andersson.

Written over the last ten years, ‘Critique of the Aesthetic Sense of Nature’ is simultaneously a cultural critique, a philosophical exposition, and a manifesto advocating for a way of life in harmony with nature.

‘Critique of the Aesthetic Sense of Nature’ is a cultural critique, a philosophical exposition, and a manifesto advocating for a way of life in harmony with nature.

The book is rooted in the thoughts and ideas about nature-based approaches to design, urbanism, and living conditions that Stig has developed throughout his long international career.

‘Critique of the Aesthetic Sense of Nature’ is a fundamental research project into the role of aesthetics in the green transition – thereby making a vital contribution to society’s ongoing development and the pursuit of new nature-based design solutions.

The book is available in Danish and English and can be ordered directly here: Danish. English.

The book is published by Forlaget Wunderbuch and generously supported by Ny Carlsbergfondet, Aage og Johanne Louis-Hansens Fond, and Realdania.
