“This modest, but significant project embodies an important message for our time: Landscapes can double as climate infrastructure, they can be beautiful, and you can enjoy them with your neighbors right in your backyard. Grønningen-Bispeparken promotes a way to live in the city and also encourages us all to get to work, adapting our cities to a changing climate, with the clarity of design process and a concept that is replicable, plus an outcome that is both transformative and beautiful. This frugal, yet richly textured work of landscape architecture melts climate prerogatives and the needs of the changing local community in a compelling example of natural intelligence.”
