David Crombie Park wins Pineapples Award

We are very proud that our David Crombie Park Revitalization has won the coveted The Pineapples Award – the UK’s premier award celebrating excellence in placemaking.

We receive the award for our “ambitious and inspiring” revitalization of Toronto’s iconic and historic David Crombie Park.

Spanning more than seven city blocks, the project unites nature, people, and community in one of downtown Toronto’s largest open space projects in over a decade.

SLA's revitalization of a much-loved public park in Toronto unites nature, people, and community. The project is the largest open space project in downtown City of Toronto in over a decade.

Congratulations to our amazing client, the City of Toronto, our fantastic team Arcadis, Tawaw Architecture Collective Inc., Third Party Public, Marcel Dion Lighting Design, and the whole local community.

Great places are truly built on great collaborations.

On stage in London to receive the award on behalf of the team were SLA Design Principal Rasmus Astrup and Associate Partner Fran Álvarez.
