Limestone garden in Koncerthuset

In the courtyard in the heart of the DR Concert Hall by Jean Nouvel the sunrays rarely fully reaches down. Therefore SLA had to think in new ways in the design of the shady garden.

By combining unique, shade tolerant grass species with white limestone of varying size and processing SLA has created an inviting garden, which is suitable for breaks for the concert hall employees and gives an interesting view from the surrounding offices. When darkness falls the stones are lit up from the bottom creating a variety of shadows and color plays.
