The good city has many faces that represent different values, that appeal to different people. St. Rørbæk is therefore divided into eight neighbourhoods, that differentiate themselves from each other in terms of the type of dwelling, employment, institutions, density and the character of the urban spaces.

The neighbourhoods form a network around a classic town centre by the station. Landmarks for culture, business and recreation are positioned as attractive nodes in the network with good connections between them.

The layout of the town is partly determined by the existing landscape. New qualities are added to the landscape, aiming to create opportunities for different life stages and life styles. Thereby we ensure that the town offers a variety of recreational possibilities. There are housing oases that create secure, private and calm surroundings close to home for a broad range of age groups.

The squares and parks of the town and other urban spaces are designed in order to accommodate life in the street in the best possible way. Urban life is increasingly moving out of buildings and out into the public realm. In St. Rørbæk the public realm provides space for activities, experiences and large arm movements. The diverse urban spaces are of high quality with outdoor serving and the self-organized sports activities that are gaining popularity at a tremendous rate these years.
