The most expensive summerhouses in Denmark are located in the hilly parts of the country. By comparing a topographical map of Denmark with summerhouse development the picture is clear. This landscape value is undeniable: If you wish to build economically sustainable summerhouses, you should build in topographically interesting landscapes.

It’s about taking the place in your hand. To grasp it and fold it to a man made nature, a cultural landscape. P.C. Skovgaard, C. Koebke and J.Th. Lundbye paint enclosed fields, dense planting with half hidden houses, dunes and cliffs, that create pictures of the landscape filled with both civilization and nature.

With the new topography all summerhouses achieve a view, privacy, and shelter – simply by pushing the soil around within the site. The development is shaped to work with the conditions of the landscape. It slips into the landform, into the planting and the gravel road merges with the terrain. This informal forest track atmosphere gives the development a both wild and exclusive character.
