SLA's masterplan for the residential area Ørbækgård in Hørsholm underlines the contrast between residential enclaves of an urban character and the open, protected landscape by Usserød Å. The clearly defined units of terraced houses stretch like fingers out into the landscape. This enables the greatest number of houses to have a view. Each house will have optimal contact with the green surroundings.

The landform around Ørbækgaard is from the hand of nature undulating with hills and hollows. The main idea for the area is therefore to retain and enhance the character of the moraine landscape. The terraced houses are built of materials such as tile and wood, while the planting consists of groups of willow and rowan in wild grasses.
