From Favrholm’s historic buildings there is not only a view to Novo’s production facilities, but first and foremost to a splendid open landscape. The sky broadens out as an immense ceiling and gives space for light. SLA proposes to let this special landscape form the basis for a unique learning, development and activity environment where culture meets nature in free play. A memorable place that is experienced as a new place at each visit.

A classical grid is draped over the landscape. The grid controls the planting and creates logical cohesion in the area. Selected fields in the grid contain various planting and areas where there are opportunities to take part in activities or hold a meeting in remarkable surroundings.

Between the planted zones grass forms a luscious green carpet. The varied planting in the zones ensures that the landscape changes character with the seasons, like a gigantic colour pallet, just waiting to be used. There are opportunities for running, horse riding, cycling, and space for ball games or other social activities in the activity zones.

Scattered in the landscape down towards the lake, like in a romantic garden, are pavilions that provide spaces for learning, problem solving or development. In the evening they are lit and can be seen clearly from the main buildings, when they are reflected in the water.
