In the middle of Malmo a new urban park, with a concert, congress and hotel construction, and residential and business, is drawn. The whole area is concentrated at a space with special urban spaces that hold the various elements together.

The area is located in the centre of Malmö on the edge of downtown between Gamla Stan, Västra Hammnen and the port. The vision is to create urban spaces for the city and the district with meeting places, adventures and places of sojourn. Concert hall and urban spaces are linked so the urban space continues through the lobby. Other ground floors are also available for the public and are functionally and programmatically linked with the urban spaces.

The Concert Hall’s activities interacts with the urban spaces, so the area is filled with music, sound, light, scents, water and concerts. Malmö's three most distinctive types of spaces: the promenade, the park and the square is found in the area along the canal, the old park and the urban space to the northwest.

The terrain, the colors and the pattern in the coating refers to the history of Malmö: Once there was ocean here, which later was filled and soon became a part of town. The stylized undulating movement of the surface and in the terrain requires physical activity, movement and residence in the area.

Character and experiences changes over the year. The water between the station and the concert hall acts as an icerink, fountain, water surface and as a water mist.
